The Huddersfield Criterium is a British Cycling supported event showcasing some of the best British riders competing in four different races throughout the evening. The action begins at 6pm outside the Chadwick Lawrence offices in St George’s Square, with the riders racing around a 1km closed-circuit, at speeds in excess of 20mph.
Four exciting races will take place throughout the evening with the headline event, the Elite race, which showcases some of the UK’s top amateur riders as well as number of high profile cyclists on the professional circuit. The town centre streets challenge the riders’ skills as they navigate the tight corners at breath-taking speeds.

Chadwick Lawrence are longstanding supporters of local sport and community events with their partnerships with Huddersfield Town and Leeds Rhinos to name but a few, and this recent announcement shows the importance the firm places in the local community.
Chadwick Lawrence Managing Partner, Neil Wilson commented on the partnership with the Criterium, “The Huddersfield Criterium promises to be a superb event for the Town and excitement is already building amongst the community. As a firm, we are proud of our Yorkshire roots, and view events such as this as a great opportunity to not only raise our profile, but to give something back to the local community. Cycling is a sport that continues to grow in popularity, particularly in our region, and the Criterium promises to be a superb event. ”
