Yorkshire’s Legal People raise over £2,000 for Candlelighters

On the 4^th of November, the Yorkshire legal firm Chadwick Lawrence joined forces with Leeds Rhinos to host a charity fundraising lunch in order to raise money for local charity, Candlelighters.

Key firm partners were invited to a relaxed lunch held at Headingly Carnegie Stadium for a two course lunch of world renowned Headingly Steak Pie and a delicious Apple Pie for dessert.

Close to 140 guests attended from various partners across the region, all of whom were treated to an insightful presentation from Leeds Rhinos CEO Gary Hetherington about the business of Rugby League and the success behind the Leeds Rhinos team. Former Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield also opened up the room for an enjoyable question and answer session involving guests.

The total raised from the event was £2,500.

Candlelighter’s aim is to help anyone touched by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. Their aim is to bring people together to help people find the friendship and the support that they need during the difficult times that cancer can bring, whether it be family support in the home or wider support on hospital wards.
