Yorkshire’s legal People Complete Pedal for Pounds
This year, the Huddersfield Town Pedal for Pounds took riders from the Emirates Stadium in London all the way up to the John Smith’s stadium back here in Huddersfield. The riders covered over 200 miles in 4 days, raising valuable funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy.
News, long-standing partners of Huddersfield Town, also took part in the event, but with a significant twist. Two of the firm’s most committed riders conquered the same route but this was covered in just 1 day.
The cyclists and their support vehicles set off from the Emirates on Friday at 10pm, and arrived back in Huddersfield around the same time as the lead group of Pedal for Pounds riders.
Alastair Wareham, based at the firm’s Huddersfield office and Tom Rodgers, based in the firm’s Wakefield office, were the intrepid riders who completed this grueling challenge. They were supported by Solicitors Pete Harling based at the Wakefield office, and Alasdair Urwin at the Huddersfield office.
The support vehicles were kindly lent by Wellhouse Leisure and Sandal BMW Huddersfield.
Managing Partner Neil Wilson commented “The Firm is extremely proud of Tom and Alastair’s efforts in completing such a difficult challenge. Their commitment to raising money for such a fantastic cause, and in such a challenging way, should be commended. Chadwick Lawrence was delighted to offer support and sponsorship to increase the total raised for the Air Ambulance and Academy”.
