Yorkshire’s Legal People Become a Dementia Friendly Firm
Chadwick Lawrence’s dementia champion Nosheen Bukhari recently conducted training across each of the offices solidifying Yorkshire’s Legal People as a Dementia Friendly firm in West Yorkshire.
These sessions took place during the lunch hours at each office, where staff were welcomed to take part voluntarily. Every member of staff that attended gave up their time to take part in the course resulting in a turnout which ran over the duration of a couple of weeks.
The training has given team members an understanding of how to support and aid clients who are living with dementia. The Morley office was the most recent to complete their training, and all those who took part have now received their ‘Dementia Friendly’ certification for completing the course.
Dementia champion and Solicitor at Chadwick Lawrence, Nosheen Bukhari said, “It has been great to work through the training of the team and everyone was really keen to get involved. Not only does it help clients, it raises awareness amongst the staff and in some cases the staff could relate with their own experiences as well.”
Nosheen continues, “We are a firm passionate about working with the community and it also gives our clients the confidence in us and our unique offering in this area.”
