Chadwick Lawrence Sponsors Wakefield Hospice Sporting Dinner with Harry Redknapp
Chadwick Lawrence were one of the lead sponsors of the Wakefield Hospice Sporting Dinner with Harry Redknapp on Tuesday the 8th of November 2016 at the Cedar Court Hotel in Wakefield.
Along with their guests the lead sponsors enjoyed a drinks reception in the Rowan Suite and the opportunity to chat with Harry (about his Wife loving watching Strictly Come Dancing and in particular her daughter-in-law Louise) and have their photos taken with him.
Thereafter, they sat down for dinner in the Cedar Suite whilst being entertained by Ian Irving (comedian) and Mr Redknapp – hearing stories about his playing and managerial career – of particular note where hearing about Paul Merson’s holiday to Barbados, Paul Futre’s want for the number 10 shirt from Jon Moncur, and doing his best not to fall out with Paolo Di Canio.
The purpose of the night was to raise money for the Wakefield Hospice which continues to provide the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advance active, progressive and life threatening illnesses.
Chadwick Lawrence kindly donated the use of their Hospitality Box at Huddersfield Town Football Club as an auction prize and a couple of its guests kindly donated raffle prizes – Tog 24 a luxury waterproof jacket and Wetherby Whaler a £30 gift voucher.
Peter Harling, Partner at Chadwick Lawrence, was part of the organising committee for the evening and had this to say: “The Chadwick Lawrence table had a great night which was both very enjoyable and very entertaining. Being from Wakefield myself and not living so far away from The Wakefield Hospice I am aware of the fantastic work, commitment and dedication that the staff provide which wouldn’t be possible without the support of the local community – thank you therefore to all 250 people who attended on the night “.
