Chadwick Lawrence Listed As DAA Dementia Friendly Firm
Chadwick Lawrence, the firm also known as Yorkshire’s Legal People, are now listed as a Dementia Friendly Firm on the Alzheimer’s Society website following a number of internal changes at the firm.
Following the submission of a proposal to the Alzheimer’s Society, the firm recently received confirmation that they are to receive the official status as a ‘Dementia Friendly Firm’ and are to be listed on the Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) website in the coming weeks.
The firm has undergone a number of internal changes as part of this process, both in internal structures and clients facing approaches. Chadwick Lawrence have formed a working group internally to produce support for staff, clients and contacts of the firm.
Internally the team have reviewed HR procedures, looking into how they support staff who are themselves affected by dementia. Resources are being made available for all staff regarding the condition.
Additionally, all staff have been offered the opportunity to attend a Dementia Friends information and training session held at each individual office which will continue on a quarterly basis, to ensure all staff are educated on the best way to approach matters regarding those living with dementia and provide the best support for clients.
Dementia Action Alliance brings together organisations and individuals across England who are committed to improving health, social care and access to services for people living with dementia and those who care for them. The alliance is made up of over 150 national organisations across the country who connect, share best practices and take action against dementia.
