National Minimum Wage Rates Confirmed
Following the recent recommendations made by the Low Pay Commission, the Government has confirmed the following increases in national minimum wage rates to take effect on 1 October 2015:
- Adult rate to increase from £6.50 to £6.70 per hour.
- Youth development rate (18-20 year olds) to increase from £5.13 to £5.30 per hour.
- Young worker rate (16-17 year olds) to increase from £3.79 to £3.87 per hour.
- Apprenticeship rate to increase from £2.73 per hour to £3.30 per hour.
