Chadwick Lawrence Overturn Decision of DWP
Chadwick Lawrence’s Regulatory Department has recently overturned a decision by the Department for Work and Pensions for a vulnerable client.
The Department for Work and Pensions had declared that our client was fit for work, despite the fact that this individual was clearly not fit to work, due to longstanding work related injuries. Our client was previously a highly paid skilled worker who was no longer able to work due to the injuries he had sustained in the course of his trade.
The Department for Work and Pensions had wrongly declared this individual fit for work and Chadwick Lawrence assisted the client in a testing and traumatic appeal to the Social Security Tribunal.
Commenting on the case, Nils O’Donoghue, who is the fee earner with conduct of the file and the Head of the Criminal and Regulatory Department at Chadwick Lawrence, said,
“The Department for Work and Pensions had made a quite clearly incorrect decision which had had a major impact on our client’s life. We fought very hard to ensure that the decision was overturned and that an unfair conclusion did not affect our client’s life going forward. It was an important case for us and for our client as, if the appeal had not been successful, our client’s life would have been seriously affected due to what was an incorrect decision. We encourage those who believe that they have been the subject of an unfair decision by the Department for Work and Pensions to contact us for a free initial consultation to ensure that the decision that has been reached is correct and their legal rights have not been breached.”
Nils can be contacted on 01924 234252 for a free initial consultation if you feel that a decision you have reached from the Department for Work and Pensions is incorrect.
