CLAIMANT AWARDED £2,210 FOR WHIPLASH TYPE INJURY
Mr I was a 20 year old man who was taking a driving lesson ready to take his test the week after the accident.
His driving instructor’s car was hit from behind whilst he was driving it causing him injury. He suffered whiplash and lower back pain which resolved within 4 months.
We submitted his claim through the Rapid Claims Portal system holding the defendant responsible because he had been driving too fast, had failed to brake or swerve to avoid the collision and hadn’t been aware of Mr I’s car in front of him.
The other side’s insurers admitted liability in the portal and initially offered £1,900 in compensation which was rejected. We obtained medical evidence on his behalf and the insurers were persuaded by us to increase their offer. Mr I accepted £2210 in an out of Court settlement.
